Minimum Requirements Most domestic animals can be registered. Pets must be 1 year old and have lived with the owner for at least 6 months. All dogs must have basic obedience skills and have a good temperament. Handlers must be atleast 10 years old.

 Prospective Pet Partners are encouraged to complete CGC testing prior to being evaluated as a Pet Partner.

Costs
There are some costs to becoming registered as a therapy pet team. These may include training, Delta Society Pet Partners registration, R.E.A.D. (Reading Education Assistance Dogs) registration, and group membership. Some of these costs are optional.
Pet Partners Registration Options/Support Fees cover two years of registration.
